Accessibility Statement — Sultan Live Music Club
Accessibility Statement
The Sultan Live Music Club (SLMC) is committed to making its website accessible and easy to use for as many people as possible, regardless of disability or the technology they use to access the website.
We aim to ensure that visitors can:
-
navigate and use the website using a keyboard;
-
use the website with screen readers and other assistive technologies;
-
enlarge text and content where required;
-
access information using different devices, including desktop computers, laptops, tablets and mobile phones;
-
distinguish text, controls and other important information clearly;
-
access forms, membership information, booking information and other essential services as easily as possible.
We are working towards making the website conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA standard.
Our approach to accessibility
We aim to build accessibility into the design and development of the SLMC website rather than treating it as an afterthought.
This includes using:
-
clear and consistent page layouts;
-
appropriate headings and page structure;
-
descriptive links and buttons;
-
suitable text alternatives for important images;
-
sufficient contrast between text and backgrounds;
-
accessible forms and input fields;
-
content written in clear and straightforward language;
-
layouts that work across different screen sizes and devices.
-
We will continue to review the website as new pages, services and functionality are added.
Current accessibility
The SLMC website is currently being developed and improved. We therefore cannot yet claim that every part of the website fully conforms to WCAG 2.2 AA.
Some content and functionality may contain accessibility issues, particularly where the website uses third-party services or embedded functionality such as booking, payment, membership or other external systems.
Where an accessibility problem is identified, we will consider how it can be corrected or, where appropriate, provide an alternative way of obtaining the information or accessing the service.
Third-party services
Some functions of the SLMC website may be provided by third-party systems, including booking, payment, membership and other online services.
Although we will make reasonable efforts to use accessible services and configure them appropriately, we cannot guarantee the accessibility of systems that are operated independently by third parties.
If you experience difficulty using one of these services, please contact us and we will try to provide an alternative means of accessing the relevant information or service.
Alternative formats and reasonable adjustments
If you have a disability and need information from the website in another format, or need assistance using any of the services provided through the website, please contact the SLMC.
Depending on your requirements, we may be able to provide information or assistance by an alternative method.
Reporting accessibility problems
We welcome feedback about the accessibility of the SLMC website.
If you find a problem that prevents you from accessing information or using a service, please tell us:
Email: vicwoods@hotmail.com
When contacting us, it is helpful if you can tell us:
-
the page or service you were trying to use;
-
what problem you experienced;
-
what device and browser you were using, if known; and
-
what you were trying to do.
-
We will consider the issue and, where reasonably possible, take steps to improve accessibility or provide an alternative way of accessing the information or service.
Keeping this statement up to date
We will review this Accessibility Statement periodically and whenever there are significant changes to the website or its functionality.
